2w

Didn't realise some people cut them off Jason. Is there a reason why 🤔

2w
comment
Jasonsparkes1

Apparently you cut the flowers off (or stop them growing) to improve the foliage?? @susanhumphrey333

2w
comment
susanhumphrey333

I hope mine won't go yellow early then. They usually flower so much later and I did used to notice the foliage yellowing after the flowers had died. I didn't mind as Autumn was just around the corner. I wouldn't be happy if it happened in the middle of summer 😞

2w
comment
Jasonsparkes1

When mine 1st started flowering I asked the question on here, seemed that half the people cut them off the other half don't, just personal preference. I like the flowers so they can stay 💚 @susanhumphrey333

rachelbrooks

It seems a shame when they're so pretty 😬

2w
comment
Jasonsparkes1

Yeah I agree, I sort of assumed they were gonna be really non discript flowers or something, but they're lovely, and big, the spike is about 2ft @rachelbrooks

2w

rachelbrooks

Is that girls or boys' measurements?! 😜 i know, they are tall spikes and I quite often get a few. I've never noticed any detrimental effects Sue @susanhumphrey333
