Afternoon Christine @midnightgardener when they are finished flowering I can get some seeds for you if you want & send them to you 👍 I prefer these to the very pale mauve ones 😘

Good morning Suzie! I don’t want to rain on your parade...but, are you sure you need to prune your wisteria already? I know I’m a lot further north than you but if it helps RHS pruning book advises a summer prune 2 months after flowering (laterals to 5-6 buds if main branch) and then not again until mid-winter (laterals down to 2-3 buds) 🤔🧐🤓 PS Fab photo!

Morning Jacqueline @awomanonabike I had a look at RHS the thing is it has never flowered so I’m thinking may as well give it a prune as it seems to be romping away but with just foliage ummm now I’m in 2 minds as the do it or not 😂😘

Sorry if I’ve confused things...If it’s never flowered it can’t do any harm to just go down to 5 or 6 leaves can it? What have you got to lose? 🤔😬 Just checking but you don’t feed it in spring do you?

😂😂 Jacqueline @awomanonabike you haven’t confused me I’m in a confused state permanently as it’s not flowered think I will give it a go as you say I’ve got nothing to loose thanks for the info Jacqueline always good to get others views 👍😘

There’s time yet then Suzie 🤞🤞🤞 No you’re definitely not alone, it seems to be a common problem. Very frustrating. Have you tried root pruning it Julie? I’d be a bit nervous 😬 @juliesgarden

Alot depends on if its a seedling or a grafted plant seedling can take up to 15-20 years to flower and are normally quite cheap to buy and grafted plants should flower the year after purchase and are normally quite expensive to buy @jadojado29 @juliesgarden @awomanonabike

Mmmm that’s interesting Carol @carolgs I think mine was a seedling as was not that big when I brought it was also cheap so to say think I will be buying another Clematis that flowers later to run through it I have one in flower that is growing through it now 🤔 thanks for info Carol didn’t realise how much a pain these were but the foliage looks nice 😂😘
