The leaves are unfurling and the flower buds are opening. I wish I knew the variety but the label is long gone 😢 #newgrowth #weigela #deciduous #pinkflowers #mygardentoday

My three are slow. Looks like everyone's are flowering ahead of mine. 😊😊💕💕💜
On May 2nd last year I posted an almost identical photo to this one, which just goes to show how much the garden has been affected by the cold spring. My garden is at least three weeks behind what it normally is! #colourpop #weigela #pink #deciduousshrub #mygardentoday 💚
We’ve lost a month then Barbara.....and it feels like it..💗
It’s the same here Barbara, everything is much further behind than other years. At least we are enjoying warm sunshine today. It’s drying out our very soggy lawn and borders
And here too. I looked at the video I took on the 1st June last year and it’s amazing how late everything is. But the benefit is that the spring bulbs, especially the tulips, have been fantastic. #everycloudhasasilverlining 🙄😂
The same in Lincolnshire too 👍
Same here in Essex. I’d say 3 to 4 weeks behind for some plants. The main reason I post photos here is to compare growth year on year. There are a few plants that have really benefitted from a long wet cold spring although sadly not my tropical plants
May has been a really long month, Elaine, but let’s hope things will get going now 🤞😘 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
We might not have liked the cold wet weather but the garden seems to have enjoyed it! 🤣😘 @joanboston
The tulips have been great this year, Jacqueline, as they’ve lasted such a long time. 👍😘 @awomanonabike
Jane and Julie, you’re both on the east coast so I think you got the worst of the weather. 😢😢 @pelly @vec 😘😘
I don’t remember them ever lasting so long in this garden. Despite the heavy rain and hail 🙄😂
I agree! They’ve stood up to everything Mother Nature has thrown at them 👏👏 @awomanonabike
