Sometimes it’s difficult to capture the exact colour of plants! In reality the leaves are more purple, the stems more vibrant and the flowers are a much brighter pink, but I’m not complaining as I’m able to admire its true colours every day 😍 #sedum #jacarandawallview #autumn #autumncolours #mygardentoday 💚💕💚

You’ve started something now @ukgardentags with today’s # 🤣 I have so many treasures that I don’t know which one to post first! I love this dwarf #sedum which is bringing much needed colour to my low wall. The bees love it too, which is an added bonus. #tuesdaytreasures #jacarandawallview #pinkflowers #beemagnet #mygardentoday 11/09/2018

#sedum in the low wall is almost ready to flower! #mygardentoday #ngsgarden
#sedum growing happily in my L-shaped wall by the patio. It’s a dwarf one but I still gave it the #chelseachop in early June 😂 Sadly I forgot to do the same with the bigger ones in the garden so they’re now flopping everywhere 😢 #pink #jacarandawallview #beemagnet #mygardentoday 💚
Well I’ve learnt something today. I’m going to add Chelsea chop to my diary for next June 👍
It’s well worth doing, Angela. I’m so cross with myself for not doing the other ones as it would’ve made such a difference to them! 🤣@italydiva
I did a partial Chelsea Chop and they've still flopped Barbara 😱🙄😂
Wow that’s amazing 😉
Oh that’s so disappointing, Jane 😢 I really like sedums but they drive me mad when they flop all over the place 😖 @pelly 😘
Me too, I think they need dividing in the spring. I've let them get quite big 🤔
What does your Chelsea chop involve for the sedum Barbara?
Mines are flopping now too 🙄 this ones lovely 🌸💗
The idea is to cut them back by about a half or a third which encourages them to grow stronger but more compact. This should stop them flopping over. It doesn’t always work as some varieties of sedum still tend to grow like crazy, but it’s definitely worth trying, Angela! @italydiva
Thank you...I shall definitely give this a go next year 😊
It’s a very small variety, Michelle, almost like an alpine 💕 @mich
