No it's not your imagination Barbara, mine is the same. When the first buds opened they were bright pink, after a couple of weeks they reverted to what I consider its proper colour, a peachy shade. It's just had a little rest and is coming back into flower again and the bud that is just opening is very bright coral colour. Do you think it's something to do with the bouts of rain and the very early hot weather we have been having recently? 🤔 I'll post a pic of the flower that is opening 😘
I saw this rose at Wisley , many years ago , and had great difficulty in finding a stockist .However since then have found it is one of the easiest roses to take cuttings from.It is a really one of the best roses - now climbing over the pergola and another spreading up a young silver birch.
