Yesterday I was very despondent so today I’ve given myself a talking to. Then I wandered around the garden looking for something to lift my spirits. I found this little sprig of #philadelphus hiding at the back so I’ve brought it indoors so that I can enjoy the flowers and the gorgeous scent. It’s not much but every little helps when it comes to raising the spirits!! #whiteflowers #fragrant #mooching #weneedrain
Scientific research proves that being out in nature grounds us. Ten minutes with your upper torso (back or front) facing the sun can lift your spirits by 60%... and the microbes found in soil can do the same! A huge #horticulturalhug coming your way!!
Aww you’re not alone lovely. I think a few of us, me included, are feeling the same. Feel like giving up completely with mine at the moment. Maybe the heat is wearing us out as well as some of our plants! We’ll perk up...you’ll see. Chin up chicken 😘
I am feeling a bit same and it's becoming exhausting after work watering, instead of gardening after work today I just chilled n had 40 winks sometimes you just need to take time out to re-charge and focus again. The skies keep teasing but still no rain! These will be lovely in the house Barbara 😍
Ive got really bad tennis elbow that just won't get better because I keep filling the watering can from the river and heaving it to the top of the garden to water my poor scorched plants, my whole garden is in full sun all day and it's really suffering. I keep telling myself when it's freezing cold in 6 months time I'll be wishing I had this weather back again 😁
Barbara, I had a bit of a meltdown a week ago and I just couldn't face the garden. I had to take a step back, find a cool place to refresh and get a good night's sleep. We all have such days and just need to remember about self-care, especially that we put so much of ourselves into our gardens 💗💕😙
