Very beautiful!💕
Posting again to see if it’s correctly identified this time!
Phew, that’s a relief! My original comment was that some of the bulbs have come up blind this year so I think it’s time to transfer them from the pot to the ground. 💛 #narcissus #ripvanwinkle #springbulbs #containergarden #mygardentoday
Same as mine Barbara, I’m going to put mine in the ground as I only got 3 flowers this year, not impressed 🙄
The leaf growth is very weak and straggly and the flowers are flopping everywhere 😢 Such a pity as they’re so pretty and deserve to be admired! @sieveheadsarah
Fingers crossed they’ll be better in the ground Barbara, they’ve one more chance in my garden 👍🏼🤔
💛💛💛
You can always compare your plant to the America Daffodil Society database. It’s Daffseek.com. Rio Van Winkle always blasts on us in KY, so I’ve tossed it.
I’m thinking it’s not RVW. Let me sent it to a few friends to see if they can id it
I’m certain it’s Rip van Winkle, a very popular variety here in the U.K. I’ve been told that it does better in the ground than it does in pots so I’ll see what it’s like next year once I’ve transplanted it 🤞 @janetandjim
Yes it's properly named!! Woo hoo 💛💛very nice it is too
It’s hard to get to even bloom here. It forms the bud but never opens. It blasts. Martha Stewart recommends slightly cutting the tip of each bloom to help it open. I don’t have time for that.
