Day 4 of the Hosta Challenge and it’s raining heavily so here’s a photo I took yesterday. Well, I wasn’t going to go out and get wet, was I? #hosta-white-feather always shows great promise but it’s a real disappointment. Not only is it very slow growing and quite spindly but it begins to revert to green later in the season. However, at this time of year it does have the #wowfactor 😂 #containergarden #jacarandahostas 💚 @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co @lesliecole49

Hi @jacaranda do you know if it safe to split a " sun & substance" Hosta as mine was massive last year ? Thanks in advance

It’s best to split it in early spring before it puts on too much new growth, Christine, otherwise wait until it begins to die down in the autumn. Good luck whenever you decide to do it 👍 @brighton

I love these but I'm not sure I have shade deep enough for it. I'm going to have to watch that spot for a while

My one isn’t in much shade at the moment. I might move it to deeper shade at the weekend to see if I can prolong the white colour of the leaves. 💚 @lesliecole49

I can't remember who was asking about Hosta 'White Feather' but this is mine. It's just started to wake up and will slowly unfurl over the coming weeks to show its white leaves. I'll post more photos as it grows. #hosta #containers #mygardentoday
