Dahlia ‘Honka Black'

A year ago today I posted a photo of ‘Honka Black’ as it was the first #dahlia to flower. History is now repeating itself as it’s the first one to flower in 2022! Last year I wasn’t sure if I liked it but this year I know I do, especially as the tuber was accidentally left in the raised bed over winter and has survived! The petals on this one aren’t as twisted as they were last year, Jane, so it doesn’t look quite so weird! It will be interesting to see how it develops over the coming weeks. 🤔 @pelly

My flowers aren't as good as usual and are only lasting a day. I think the heat affected them 🤔
