That’s a lovely one Barbara 😍 - unfortunately I think I’m gonna have to throw all mine away as think they have the dreaded canna virus. The only remotely healthy one is Stuttgart that I got from Hart Canna, might just scrap the others and give them a break and wait for the infected aphids to die down in my area 😕
Oh they look awful Barbara - you would notice it straight away as the leaves are mottled, the variegation is uneven, sometimes the foliage is deformed. It just wouldn’t look healthy. I’ll post a pic of them before they enter the trash can! 🙈
I got two species ones, C. patens and C. warscewiczii, and the cultivars Herman, Shenandoah, Stuttgart (as my original one was definitely not variegated!) and Panache 😊 - there are some other more common ones I want as I want to replace the ones I have as I think they might be diseased. But I'll wait till spring for those. Just remembered ive got some seeds to sow too 😆
I know I know 😆🙈 @clipperty - Barbara, indeed it was Hart, arrived safely after about four days of placing order. Interestingly they recommend to keep divisions going over winter rather than letting them die back and regrow in spring.... so that's gonna be interesting 😆🙈 - I've popped them in the polytunnel for now to see how they do. Might put them in the garage at night times if we get any long periods of cold nights. But day time temps should be fine for now.
