Loving the leaves on this but it’s such a slow grower! Last year it stood outside for the summer but this year I’ve kept it in the #greenhouse Any tips on how I get it to put on more growth? Should I feed it with a foliar feed rather than a flowery one and if so what are the recommendations? #albizia #albizia-julibrissin-summer-chocolate #containergarden #featheryfoliage #bronze-foliage #mygardentoday 💚

I have 2 Barbara, both still a baby really. They’ve put on good growth this year but still only about 3 ft the foliage has grown denser this year on both. I leave mine outside now all year

What do you feed yours with, Hayley? And how big are the pots? 😘 @hayleyaj

Mine are in 12 inch pots at the moment but will be posted on again next Spring.. no feed just a regular top up of fresh compost

Thanks Hayley. I think mine needs a bigger pot but I’ll do it in the spring 👍😘 @hayleyaj

It’s a beautiful tree but obviously for very patient people- I was going to get one but am rethinking now 🤔🤔😁

I love the delicate leaves and the gorgeous colour. I just wish it would DO something! I’ve had it for almost three years and it still only has eight leaves!!! #foliagefriday #albizia #purpleleaves #containergarden #greenhouse 31/08/2018

Love these Barbara. I wanted this one but was told it would suffer with the frosts here so went for the green one

And just remembered the advice given at the Hyde hall flower show by the grower. He said to keep them potted and kept in the greenhouse over winter for the first few years. His advice is on this link http://www.paradiseplants.org.uk/
