I assume it was them as I have seen them hanging around my front pots. The bud just disappeared. I expected to see it on the ground. I was waiting expectantly to see if my red and yellow semi cactus dahlia had come back. Will have to wait longer but I did move it around the back. The chipmunks also bury nuts and seeds in my pots. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ @kez001uk

@hkyfvr destructive little things 😠 I do hope it comes back. Love a cactus dahlia with those spiky looking petals 😛 sound like the squirrels here! They’ll dig up anything to bury their nuts and then dig up everything trying to find them again 😆😆😆

They do that here too. I am hoping that pot is not another one of the yellow and white dahlias as I have 2. I think I saw some red on the bud before it was snatched. 🤞🤞😆 @kez001uk

Sorry to hear chipmunks are giving you problems with your Dahilas these are looking great so healthy. I'm having a nightmare with mine the slugs and snails have been doing some fine dining on a lot of my plants this year not to mention the field day they had with my seedlings 😠

You should try them. They are fantastic flowers. I bought a few new tubers this year and they are growing well but the overwintered ones grow faster and fuller. Hope to have some new colours this year. 👍😊 @cheriej
