Hi. Am a grandma living north of Toronto in a small town. Love cats and beauty of nature. Hope to learn more to make my gardens lovely like yours🌸🌺

Did you have frost yet? We had a touch last night.

No we did not but tonight it is going down to minus1. My containers are in the garage or covered on deck. My one red carnation has a lot of buds to flower and I hate to lose it. It did not flower hardly at all this summer. Oh well. When this happens it usually gets very warm after 🤷‍♀️ @gjones

That's what's happening here! It was 25C here today and its forecast to be 27C tomorrow. The frost killed a few annuals but only in the low part of our garden - the rest are fine (so far)!

Wow. It only went to 15 here today and 13 tomorrow. It is supposed to warm up later next week. It is too cool too fast for my liking 🙄 @gjones

Are you just north of Toronto or quite a ways north? We're having a nice warm fall this year - it'll probably warm up for you too😊

We are an hour North of Toronto just south of the City of Barrie. We are classified as Central Ontario. I hope it warms up. Thanks 😊🍁☀️☀️ @gjones

We’re about an hours drive east of Regina just a few miles north of the #1 Hwy and about 4 miles south of the Qu’Appelle Valley. We’re having an unusually warm autumn so far but here on the prairies it can change very quickly. The warm weather is giving me time to do lots of clean up in the garden, move some plants and dig out others. I’m trying to kill a goji berry that has gotten too invasive but the darn thing won’t die! Any suggestions?

Sorry. I have not had any experience with that. That is too bad that it is so hard to get rid of. We had a full frost last night. At 8:30 it was still on the deck railings. Glad I covered my containers. Probably lost annuals in the gardens. Good luck with the goji berry thing. A stick of dynamite maybe? Lol. Kidding of course. 😊@gjones
