GardenNymph

Always wanted a farm but am happy with my suburban back yard in southern NJ. I consider myself a novice even though I've gardened for over 20 years.

@gardengirlla and @moore.794 .... question for you.. my tomatoes have blight it seems to have spread to all 14 plants. Is there anything organic I can do or am I going to lose them all ? 😪

@gardengirla Awesome thanks Maggie I'm going to try it. So sad to see these beautiful plants so sick when they were doing so well. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Dust or spray with sulfur. Remove lower leaves. Stake plants. Mulch with black plastic. Use resistant varieties. Rotate location. Raised bed if possible. Keep plants dry. if try baking soda do not use dish detergent use soap. Castile or ivory shaved in warm water to make soap. Detergent strips oil from leaves damaging plant. Surface sterilize fruit with 1 teaspoon bleach to 1 gal h2o & soak for 10 min new batch each time rinse & dry. Can do this with most vege and will keep longer @GardenNymph

@moore.794 thank you so much. I removed lower leaves when I planted and did stake them but I did not rotate. Tomatoes were in same spot as year. I am going to try this because I really want to save them. Any ideas on where to get the sulfur you mention?
