From Haugesund. With 3 children and a husband who's seemingly constantly away on business, I garden like it could save my life - and it probably does!

Solenostemon scutellarioides syn. Plectranthus scutellarioides, Coleus scutellarioides, Coleus blumei

Though I am a strong supporter of the #cutandplunk method, the water method can be quite decorative. These rooted #cuttings will get their pots of soil soon, but for now I’ll just enjoy how pretty they look on my windowsill.

I agree!! They look real pretty. My kitchen counter usually has a few too. I see you have a coleus. Have you rooted it before from a cutting? I was just thinking of taking a cutting from mine. Any suggestions? 😊💕

@terrimclaughlin, I have no experience whatsoever with coleus, but I was given a small plant last fall. I kept it indoors over the winter, and decided to take cuttings to create a more compact plant. This was just a week or so ago, and already small roots are forming, so I guess perhaps they are easy?

We’ll we’ll have to both give it a try and compare notes later!! You have yours in very nice containers. Either way they’ll be a success 😊💕

Can’t wait to see yours, @terrimclaughlin . Those containers are little jam jars that I simply couldn’t throw away😏
