Well my poor extremely long #pothos and #velvetheartleafphilodendron have gotten out of control and scraggly . I took so much off the bottoms already no joke from my kitchen where they were hanging they reached past my living room to the hallway. They need more soil and trimming up. And its supposed to rain soon so gonna let mother nature wash them off instead of showering them.
They are dragging on the ground still even after taking all that extra off. Needs food as well. I've slacked in their care a bit. Shame on me. I accidentally ripped off good leaves trying to untangle this mess lol.. poor babies
No I have not tried them in the pond but that's an idea.. I could make a trellis for them to climb up and a floating pot to keep them contained Kari @KariSamuel thank you for that idea and comment xoxo
@ShelleySnyder - You have never propagated a philodendron in water before?! That's where it all started with for me! My mom had cuttings all over the house in vases, jars, mugs.... One ended up in my room. The rest is history!! 🤣
Or trailing over the edge? You could try something like a suet cage or a plastic berry basket to tether to the side. A flexible plastic lid with just an ✖ cut in the center, poke your plant through and float it on the surface...
You need fairy’s lol. Wait first you need that little thing called “extra money “. What’s that??!?? Just Kidding with u cyndi. I hardly could buy Halloween decorations but I still had some. And instead of checking in a piece of luggage at the airport I boxed up a snow village scene my mom had for years and now it’s going on my dining room table. The hooks sounds really good cyndi for your ivy it’ll look great when ur done. Don’t forget to share👍🏻🤗😊💕
Just inside in a pot of soil I keep water clean off leaves and mist every so often plant food once a month(when I remember) I have so much of it I have given some away. And easy to root in water as well. I take some of the vine and circle the pot inside on soil and lay more soil on roots that might be showing to make fuller. Good light but not bright. But thats it basically. And I talk to the lol. Oh once a month or longer I put them in shower and wash them off let dry some then place back hangi
@cyndi im going to try that cuz when i water it i just put water in pot and wet up the leaves lol i talk to them too lol and i need to plant food once a month i was doing it every like 3 four months lol what do u mean wash it just the leaves
I put whole basket/plant in shower I have an extra rod hanging in middle of shower for plants and I make a dish soap neem water mix mist them and let sit for a bit while you gather other vines house plants to do same with mist all same way then rinse of first one on a genital shower head setting( I have a handheld multple shower head) then rise all of them well. Let drip dry then replace back in their home areas. Gets built up dust residues bugs that might got in/on them off. Then I make a very
