My #prayerplant is coming back to life after the protection I had over it shifted and it lost its protection. I had hoped it would recover and it is doing great. It was very large last year so hopefully it gets even bigger this year.
Well the #prayerplant after its tumble and knocked out its pot accident it had has survived and only has few dead leaves i need to trim but its #loadedwithbudsandblooms so thats a plus for me #prayerplant-flowers
Same here!😂 I have to tell you a funny little story Cyn, you remember some time back when I was separating beads?(lots and lots of beads!) I know you know!!😂🤪 Anyway Gary kept saying where are you going to put them!! Don't you worry mister I have a spot!😳 I went to use some of them and I couldn't find them!!😳 Well I did find room for them didn't I! So today I'm cleaning out my craft room and guess what I found!?🤔 I wanted to use them like 3 months ago!🤪😂😂😂 Anyway all's well now!💘😍
Thanks Katy @gjones its just faith a lot of "grow damn its" lol and some hydrogen peroxide in water(just a little) and cleaning the water(if water rooting) if it gets foggy or unclear when rooting in water. If in soil its cinnamon in soil or rooting powder (I use both to help even more) keep damp not soaked. Cut leaves in half to encourage growth in roots not leaves.
That’s so cool cyndi!! I swear your one of the luckiest people I’ve met your always receiving mysterious drop of gifts, good deals on plants now u have a house lizard. I hope he’s get nice and fat, if possible 👍🏻👍🏻😊💕
I'm so #impressed with my #prayerplant she keeps giving me so much more #prayerplant-flowers #prayerplant-seeds and so many new #prayerplant-leaves #unfurling #ilovemyplants #plantaholic and #proudofit haha
You are so welcome girl! I wish you lots of luck with these baby seedlings. Hopefully they all will make it! 💗 If they do I would love to trade with you later on down the road. These are such beautiful plants! 🌱
Brought in and cleaned up my #prayerplant that has gotten rather large lol. Found more #seedheads on it while cleaning it up and put those in the #container. Hoping to make this another permanent #houseplant again maybe but def indoors for #winterprotection
They are lovely @mardel you never know you might get lucky and find one.. You could ask the local nuserys if they have them or can get some. Make sure to use latin as well as common names when asking tho cus a few plants have common names
My #prayerplant made a lot of #flowers this year so I decided to let some do their thing and then let some flower and actually collect the #seeds of them now its #rare to actually get them to #propagate by #seed but #whynottry anyways 👇
Lol.. No i don't know how long but will be checking them often.. Its very rare for them to germinate but worth the effort and others will/can try as well... These are very fresh seeds so I hope it works.. Xoxo Kari @karisamuel wish me luck
I keep missing comments.. Weird.. @ShelleySnyder this one keeps giving flowers randomly which makes me very happy. Since I put it in a larger pot its grown a lot. I hope when I bring it inside for winter it doesn't die lmao it loves this spot.
Yours looks real healthy, I struggle with this one as my house has too dry air and the leaves go brown and crispy before the leaves have fully emerged. And I find the watering really tricky to judge. But coincidently I was going to throw mine out and so put it in the polytunnel temporarily till I had time to take it out it’s pot and compost it and it seems to love being in there. I guess it must like the hot and humid conditions, and it’s not direct sun either. One very fussy plant 😂🤷🏼♂️
They are fussy Rich @richard.spicer.7906 mines outside in mostly shade but my area is hot and humid and its thriving outside. The last one I had was a small cutting and it didn't do so hot inside. This one now is 3 times the size it was when given to me and I had to upgrade it pot size . not deeper but wider in container size. Glad yours likes the tunnel and doing well now cus they are lovely plants. Get a humidifier for indoors so air not so dry and can use it near plants that need it most.
Yep, might have to look into one of those. Alternatively I could try it in the bathroom although there’s not much room in there as already have a peace lily on the windowsill. It’s good yours has shown lots of new growth, and whilst maybe not pleasant for you the humidity is definitely key factor for it.
It is doing loads better since I moved my #prayerplant to this spot. Still has some leaf burn but it has loads of #newgrowth as well. I transplanted a little while back into a bit larger #container and its done very well so far. #calathea #bloom #calathea-flower #zebraplant-flower #closeup #macro #tinyflowers #prayerplant-flowers
