I'll be ok Terry @moore.794 thank you. I'm gonna try get basics like flower baking powder milk yeast so I can at least make biscuits in my toaster oven(no stove) and few other essentials I have to budget 16.00 for food supplies but hopefully after Bill's and other essentials are gotten I have some extra cash for more food. The price of power usage went up so things are stretched but I have a roof over my head power and few basics and I'm growing a veg garden. Things will be ok.. xoxohugsxoxo
I almost forgot it was outside. I didnt plant these it was from wind blown self seeding Maggie @dirtgirlworld so I just let them do their thing. Walked around yard to see how things were looking after all the freezes we had and saw them just all looking healthy happy and no freeze damage.. was very surprised for sure. So picked them and tasted to see if was bitter... nope.. tasted like reg lettuce lol fresh
Some #lettuce popped up what is going on with mother nature. People keep saying climate change is a hoax well ive lived here 20 + years and im def seeing differences in the weather every year. Warmer and warmer every winter we still have some freezes and some cold but no where near as cold as it use to get here in my area. January and lettuce is growing outside uncovered.. yeap odd.
Definitely happening here we got an oak tree on opposite side of the road and when I moved in here 14 years ago by Nov 5th bonfire night all its leaves had dropped last year it was still predominantly green 🤔😯😞
Its crazy. All i can think is we need to plant more trees and plants and do more world wide to help mother nature as best we can as individuals @carolgs @gjones its def worries me a lot. Especially with some areas losing more natural habitats... trees etc due to fires floods landslides etc...
I sow mine right on top and them mist water till soaked(the soaking will move soil and bury them a bit naturally) then don't let dry out but don't let stay to wet till it shows some growth then just water when needed.😉 @novicegardenlover they do better in part shade.. Morning sun afternoon shade. I'll be growing some in the shade of some taller plants that will be in veggie garden like cucumbers for example trellised(cast a shadow) to protect from excessive heat.
#mixedlettuce #lettuce Ill be making some containers of it instead of in the #veggiebed cus its so stinking hot not doing as well as should have. Will try to carefully #transplant these and shade them more.
