They are so pretty in person! @hannahchristine did ya know that you can leave seeds on ground where ya want them to still grow at the following year after its died back. Just save all the seeds ya want then take the plant and basically use it as mulch in that spot after the growing season is over(early winter) and next year come spring you'll have a jump start on them. Your zone is same or close to mine I think so it should work. I leave a lot of different seeds down after season is done.then 👇
#mixed #morningglory starting to grow. Growing them up last years now dead very large stalks of popcorncassia i put in ground that got over 12 ft tall. The morningglory and #hyacinthbeanvines will be growing up them as a #naturaltrellis #trellis
#morningglory #lemongrass a #cleome and oh look theres the #windchime lol its a jungle baby lol i wish i still had my trellis over the steps/door it sure kept this area cooler. This is full hot as hades all day sun area.
Thank you Janice @lovestogarden I Wanted it to grow up the wall but didn't have help or even a ladder to put up some "trellis" material. I'm gonna try this early winter/fall to get that done for next year.
#morningglory in the #woodline only reason its there was during a few hurricanes trees where knocked into my yard right up at my trailer and it got wrapped in it. So when it was cut up finally tossed into woods this was taken with it. Looks good climbing the other wild plants.
#firstbloom of the #newlyplanted #morningglory #flowers slighty dusted due to wind while I was using #fertiliser lol i think #mothernature thought I needed some too it blew all over me as well and she was having a good ole #laugh 😜 #newgrowth #purple #twotone
Started some #seedcollecting one side is where I just picked them and placed in bowl and rubs the seeds out. Second side is where I stood outside and gently blew on top of seeds to move the husk off seeds.
Just how them away from them up a trellis and collect seeds dont let touch the ground.. And the wild ones are different that these wild ones are bindweed and are evil hard to get rid of lol. If you don't want to try the vine type they do make a bush type which is very pretty as well & lovely colors here's a site to see them you might 💕 http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/annual/bush-morning-glory/
