Temp started some #sweetpotato in a container in winter i got quicker #slips that way. And will put in veggie bed soon.

More #sweetpotatoflower hope I get a good batch of #sweetpotato to eat.. Yummy i can taste sweet potato fries already.. i am actually growing some indoors just for the flowers as an experiment maybe I'll get a few sweet potatoes as well lol

My #sweetpotato (the kind you actually eat) has #flowers this has a tiny #bee type bug inside of it #pollinating . had 2 one flew out. This is actually in the morning glory family

Thanks Keely i did an oops and did it upside down on a few but it still worked so im happy about this progress. Even if i get a few healthy slips it will get me a lot of sweetpotatoes. It will take a while longer before they are ready to be planted tho. Hope by spring will be more than ready @Keely

Fantastic progress, Cyndi. You should end up with a wonderful crop. I had so many last year that I dehydrated sliced sweet potatoes/yams for my dog as treats. She loves them and they are so good for her!

Thanks you all @kimguy @columbiariver @jeatacake im hoping to have great crop of good food and herbs this year Fingerscrossed lol and yes Jeff its in water you cut the ends off and put the cut end in water held up with tooth picks clean water often and give it time takes forever lol but worth it.

Its fun to watch the process of the slips growing as well. Few years back i grew sweetpotatoes. Boy where they good too. @jennlamaye. Pretty flowers as well. Like morning glories all over the ground lol.

Yes very easy Jeff. You can grow them in large containers as well. Just google that. Bigger the container the better like old extra large tote(tub) more room. @jeatacake
