Def try that @exotic_earth_child you put a few in small layer of soil and build up as the plant grows taller like regular potatoes. Google container growing them. Def worth it. Fresh just taste better. Thank you

My veg bed is almost full up for plants I marked out for placement of vegetables I should have put my reg potatoes in the tires and just built them up and up instead of veg bed(took a lot of space i needed ).. I guess I can hold off repotting a fruit tree and just use its newer large containers for now for this.. @dirtgirlworld @columbiariver still gotta get dirt.. #whyamialwaysoutofdirt

Yes, I agree with that. I would definitely grow as many foods that can be harvested this year as possible for your own nutrition. My fruit trees love a year or two in pots to be spoiled anyway. 💚 now I see I misunderstood your comment. Same basic premise tho

15w

Thats what im gonna do! Food is vital this yr with only having 16.00 for food every month! Laura @columbiariver its why I'm trying so hard to do more food stuff like fruit etc! Gonna look into thornless berries as well to help!

15w

I don't know how people are supposed to feed themselves. Not right Cyndi. Green beans? Pole for using less sq ft. Tomatoes produce a lot of food per plant.

15w
comment
cyndi

I call it slow genocide Laura @columbiariver all it actually is gonna do is cause crime rates to go up people stealing to feed their family. Now me im just trying to grow whatever i can. Hard to do on a budget and no help or proper supplies like soil pots or a larger veg bed lol if i had a tiller and other proper tools i would extend the veg bed and make other beds to grow more! Been multi tasking pots containers already! But I do the best i can with what i have and hopefully it will work!
