The rain will pound the flowers off that's for sure! But I think you have a little more time before you need to bring it in, I usually bring ours in by the end of October (sometimes not till November) depending on night time lows, you might have to bring her in a bit earlier than me, just keep a watch on temps, once they start dipping into the low 40's think about getting it in😉💘😍
A light sugary syrup Kari. You and nearly everyone wonder the same thing. These are prunes. They're a dryer fruit than a plum, but I think they are sold as plums many times because of their similarity. They are one of my very favorites. @KariSamuel
First good picking ever and more to come. I better go get that bottle of gin now. #prunes #italianprune #momndadsfavorite #virginpicking #fruit #fruittree #gyo #homegrown #sothrilled #doesnttakemuchtomakemehappy #beautifulsummer18 #ladderguy
Damson gin couldnt be eaiser. You need a large jar, freezer bag, freezer, gin (aldi or lidl own £10ish a bottle work really well), sugar and damsons. Put fill the gar with damsons so you know how many you need. Put them in the freezer to freeze 1 day will do it. Once frozen put the damsons in the jar. Pour sugar over about 1/4 of the way upish you can always add more sugar later. Pour tge gin over put the top on and leave in a dark cupboard or under the stairs shake every couple of days till
The sugar has desolved then leave for 3 ir 4 months and enjoy at christmas although you might want to taste it a(a teaspoon full should be enouhg to tast) month before and add more sugar if you need to.
I just can't get enough of these. I grew up on them and have been trying for decades to have a good tree on our place. If I might be so bold as to guess what mother nature is up to, I think it might be a good year! Yae! @tinaaune @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
