Documenting move to pot and brought inside. I think she may make it. A couple of young plants attached as well. #ineedrocks #lewisia #doesntliketogetwet

#question should i pot this pretty little thing and put it under a little protection or leave it? Its zoned OK for us, but I hear these are finicky. Anyone?

Mine all stay outside in containers (for me they do best in tight spaces) but I'm in zone 8! If you leave them outside I would leave them in the ground. 💘😍

I would just make sure theyโ€™re somewhere that doesnโ€™t get waterlogged 💦

I think I'm going to leave it. Its in a well draining spot and the warm side (if there really is one) of the house. Ill experiment this year. Thank you for your input 😁😲😳 @jonners73 @ShelleySnyder @rachelbrooks

You could always put a cloche over it just to keep the wet off? It's often recommended to plant them in a wall or on a steep slope if you want to over winter them outside 👍🏻😊

Good to know Jacqueline. I'm afraid that my east wind would tear anything off it that would allow it to keep dry. I do have garden fleece, but I'd have to pin it to the ground. It would be protected from cold, but not wet. It may benefit a little bit from the cover! @awomanonabike

Maybe an early Christmas present? A nice little Victorian style mini-cloche?! https://goo.gl/images/GxmJ4b 😊😊😊

Was one of my favourite plants last year! Bloomed for months and I'm glad it's covered in buds again this year!

I'd love to see it in bloom Katy. Do you have this particular color? This baby has a ways to go. @gjones
