From looking at early pics, I believe this is Olympian which is a Washington state native. #pnwnative #native-usa

Can you get your figs to ripen so you can eat them ??

This is my first experience with growing figs, but I have a favorite coffee shop that grows them in their parking lot. They will be planted outside @charlotte

I love the smell of a fig tree. But I think it's rare in the UK for us to be able to eat the figs. They grow a small fruit but don't ripen.

Sometimes it seems like our seasons are very similar and other times they're not. I'll have to see how it goes with them and I'll be waiting for the smell 😂🍈 @charlotte

I guess it's down to heat. As you know I'm on holiday in your fine country and it's blooming hot. Here it was 98 degrees Fahrenheit. In the UK it was 60 degrees. @columbiariver

My dear Charlotte, you are in the south. Savannah Georgia is a beautiful town, rich with history. Just visited in January ourselves. It is hot down that way! But I'm clear on the other side of the country in the Pacific Northwest. Much different climate. That being said I our summers here have gotten warmer over the last few years. In July and August we get above 95 f quite a bit. I don't like it at all. Enjoy your visit to the USA 🌺 @charlotte
