The native bleeding hearts are up now. They're all around the woods and they like it near the compost. #native #pnw #gorgeplants #dicentra #dicentraformosa 4.12.19

Very pretty Laura, love the colour 💕

I'd love a flowing gown this color Rachel. And a wand to match, with a magic raindrop at the end. There goes my imagination again. Maybe in heaven 💖💜💖 @rachelbrooks

These are beautiful. Im gonna be growing a shade garden and these are a must have.

YES! they are so different than the commercially grown plants. Very naturalizing. @littlemorningglory

Why wait Laura? Live it! 😉😘

Native bleeding hearts are everywhere. Pretty foliage is so Lacey. #dicentra #native #pacificwaterleaf #waterleaf

Great colors! The green is so deep.

Wow, your spring seems to have sprinted way far ahead of mine all of a sudden! My bleeding heart (and pretty much everything else) is still tiny tips just pushing through. But this week we JUST entered double digits celsius, so things might be greening up now finally.

Pretty, one day I'll try them again
Have I ever sent you a native Leslie? I will if you want to try some. I have a lot. @lesliecole49
Yes, Laura, if you don't mind! I have a bare spot where hostas, astilbe and hellebores are. It should do ok in the area they are, wouldn't you think? Do you still have my address? I've tried them in different areas where they petered out quickly (could be me!) But doing some more reading on them, I have a better idea on where I could try. If you have a bunch, maybe send a few ... for luck! 😆
I certainly will. This is the right time to do it. You'll still get rain before summer, right? @lesliecole49 thing to remember is they are not showy. Definitely a sweet woodland addition.
I don't need showy and they'll be (hopefully) in a more foliage type area.
Lack of rain isn't usually a problem till later in the summer. We get an abundance of it right now!
