That would be the perfect spot for a great sun garden neighbs. But the mr likes lawn. I say 'what lawn?'. But he is my buddy so we compromise. I edge in more every year. I have a new take over planned for this summer and he will never see it happening! Lol @ShelleySnyder
Looks beautiful over the pergola - I’ve had trouble growing Campsis in my garden, I’m sure it should be fine normally but it’s struggled to get established for various reasons. I’m gonna try one last position to let it settle and if nothing then I’ll admit defeat 😂
I've heard these are invasive in other parts of the world and in the USA, but not here! In fact we had 2 and the other only lived a couple of years. You don't see them here very much 🤗😍💞 @grynnat @pottybird42
Looking great!!! My neighbor just now is getting some seed pods I’m definitely growing some through the winter. They do well down here yours obviously did good after that cut back. It looks sooo pretty 👍🏻😊💕
We're still here! Fire is still 20 miles away. Wind is starting which is not the best of news. Fire has been traveling away from us, but wind will change that. Its at 3000 acres now and it was started by fireworks on one of the hiking trails. #firenews #trumpetvine #columbiarivergorge #pacificnorthwest
Thank you Jeff. We have many airplanes going up and down the river, deeper into the gorge now. Probably refueling at pdx and going back to fire. Sky is completely orange. It's really strange @jeatacake
Yes it is Kari. It puts off long bean looking seed pods once in awhile. Not every year. I believe this is 20 plus years old. I really need to get photos out in order to remember correctly and I haven't done that yet. @KariSamuel
This has been here for a long time. Hubby went after it with the clippers last year and I nearly scared him to death as I screamed at him through the window "STOP"!!! Oh well its just a little mor compact now.
@sikoma It was full until yesterday Dar. My dh thought he'd 'trim' it back. I saw him and screamed NO through the closed window. He jumped about 3 feet in the air and mumbled something lovely. I get a tummy ache thinking about it. Maybe it will surprise me in the spring.
@columbiariver These vines🌺 remind me of Germany. They grew so beautifully designed on the sides of cottages🏠 and along some rothiron fences. The scents as you walked the sidewalks of various flowers etc(sniffing the air and sighing) or through the markets of the fresh breads etc.(my stomach growling) Ahh,I was about 8yrs old when we lived there for 4 yrs and it's one place I'd love to see again...There are so many memories that I have for that short time, but I'm sure it's so different now.😍
