This blue curled kale grows well here. I'm able to cut leaves off of a plant and watch more come on it. I've added a few more seedlings to the little area. Gives us plenty to use in smoothies, salads or cooked. Great flavor too, most important. 8.9.18

I think that's the same variety I have... Of course mine isn't quite as happy in our constant 100F weather, but happy enough. So you just cut off the leaf but leave the petiole? Is that better?
