Mmm. I've thought about growing a few but I just don't cook enough anymore to have more than a head or two at a time. I'd end up learning how to dry them!

@lesliecole49 @columbiariver I fermented some. Had it tonight. Wow. And so simple to preserve. No canning is what I like. 😁.

They dry themselves and I store them in a paper bag in the cupboard. That's how easy they are. I'll just weed them a couple of times. But we almost decided not to do veggies anymore. The veg garden is usually a neglected mess...hanging my head

I'd like to have enough to try that @tkept

@columbiariver don't hang your head, you have so much space to look after, you do an amazing job! What about just focusing on veggies that don't need too much looking after once they're in?

Thanks for the encouragement Kim. There are a couple of things. Green beans and tomatoes. I need more sun on the area and the Mr won't take out a large cedar tree that blocks the sun. He loves trees @Mikekally

Boo, @columbiariver, although trees are pretty amazing. At least he doesn't have an unreasonable love of great expanses of boring green lawn that you can't do anything with, like my chap

He harvested the garlic yesterday. Not as big as we'd hoped. I think from too little sun. Back in the raised bed next year. These are the fancy ones we ordered from Hood River. Very good flavor. 8.8.18 #garlic #gyo #food #brownrose #harvest

Judy we planted in November, which was a little late. Your climate is so different tho, I don't know when you would plant garlic. @ripjuju
