By way of an experiment I ordered some root ginger from Tesco and tell you the truth forgot all about it. Hey presto though it's throwing out a green shoot so have potted it up. Cost me roughly 50p 😂🌱

It reminded me of the Hedychium rhizomes we were both growing - did yours ever flower? Mine made lots of foliage last year but not a hint of a flower yet 🤔🌱 @richard.spicer.7906

I’ve still got it! I got two stems come up last year so that’s progress as I’ve only had one stem grow before. Never flowered but I’m optimistic for next year 🤞🏼😁 - keep forgetting it’s quite hungry so I need to keep feeding it
