Fantastic. There was one on GW last week in a garden over here that was full, of lemons. I had no idea they could grow so well in the UK! 🍋

Yes Jeff @jeatacake the film is on Gardeners World Facebook page now it was good, they had a tremendous crop didn't they? It fascinates me how you have flowers, developing fruit and ripe fruit all on the same tree. Ours is a lovely flavour, not as tart as the lemons you buy 🍋

That one on GW was quite a sight to see! Yours isn't far behind. I might be tempted to give one a try!

I bring mine in over the winter but I know a lot of people keep them out all year Jeff @jeatacake

Amazing! I would never have imagined they could survive many frosts, being wet for prolonged periods & strong winds!

Yes I don't know as I would like to chance it Jeff @jeatacake but then mine is still the size I can pick it up. It lives in an unheated conservatory all winter but if it's going to be really cold I bring it into the lounge overnight. It's quite a pampered plant temperature-wise but nothing complicated with caring for it other than that. You can buy bags of citrus compost and I just repot it when needed 🍋

You've convinced me Sue 👍 I will look out for a suitable one early next year. I'm guessing that just growing one from a pip won't necessarily make for a good plant suitable for our climate? 🤔

We have a good wholesale nursery near us Jeff @jeatacake and I think mine was about £35-£40, I would get an established one if I were you, it will be nice out on a patio until late into the autumn then you'll have the bonus of a lemon for your pancakes 🍋
