@sharonhayden I find morning glories are a bit hit and miss in my climate… this particular mix just doesn’t thrive, even though it has a few lovely blooms. But the Flying Saucer morning glories that I have are completely unstoppable… I highly recommend them if you don’t mind blue flowers! I direct sow.
You must live in eastern Canada as the heat has moved that direction. Looks like it would be a pretty one. Have you tried growing the blue or pink picotee morning glories? They're beautiful but I find them difficult to germinate.
@gjones Yes! Eastern Ontario… it’s supposed to be very hot until Friday. The weather has been so odd this summer. Lots of smoke drifting across the country … haze and red suns 😕. I purchased a package of picotee morning glory this year and not a single one seems to have grown! Quite the contrast to my flying saucers and the Japanese imperials which had a close to 100% rate. I soaked and chipped them all in the same fashion, too… 🤷🏼♀️
After our heat finally moved east it's gotten quite cool here and lots of rain showers. Most of August we had poor air quality warnings, hazy skies and temps in the mid to high 30's. I was so glad to see it move east but I know you have humidity added to the heat which is far worse. I think we'll probably both give up on growing picotee morning glories😁 Take care -just a few more days until the heat wave passes. Tonight we have tornado warnings until 2 am. What next! @CheerfulandLiterate
