I'm mostly into cacti, aloes, and other heat tolerant succulents, and more recently hoyas and some tropicals. Phoenix, AZ. USDA zone 9b, heat zone 11.

Seen at a local nursery. I forgot to check the name tag. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Some kind of Cereus.

Fresh batch of cacti and succulents at the grocery store today! Of course I couldn't resist bringing a couple home. These are the ones I did NOT buy, though they were tempting as well. $10ea.

Wow you have willpower. I would have had all of them in my cart. 😂

@philstalder I already have the ones on the left and right. I was tempted for the fuzzy one and one of the clustered ones in back, but I see both (slightly smaller) at Home Depot now and then for way less $. I did buy a pair of Astrophytum ornatum and a fairy castle cactus, which has been on my wishlist for years, but I've literally NEVER come across one. Strangely, they don't seem to be sold around here.. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

Love those planters. U find the neatest plants @ ur grocery store.

@txgardener yessss, always at the same store! I love their succulents, although they always need the soil changed completely bc they come in crappy peat. 🤦🏻‍♀️ They also had echeverias in ceramic dinosaur planters on the shelf above, but the dinos were bloated and derpy looking, so I skipped them.

I check weekly at my grocery store. Nothing compared to ur treasures u find @ ur grocery store. Yes I do know the "crappy peat" u speak of. 😒

@txgardener the succulents are always from the "farmers market" grocery store (mostly produce and fresh and healthy goods, sort of like AJ's, but not pretentious), kind of a low key suburban hipster vibe. I always check my regular Kroger-owned grocery store as well, but the finds there are much less interesting, although I did score a raven zz there a couple months ago. 😍

@txgardener well shit, fam, Sprouts is the store I'm talking about! I didn't know you had them there! That's where all the cute succulents are at! I have a Sprouts half mile in one direction and a Fry's (Kroger) half mile in the other direction, so I frequent both depending on what I'm buying.
