When I'm not on my bike, you'll find me in my organic-ish garden in #Cumbria. Favourite plants? Wisteria, hellebores, peonies, philadelphus...
29 Apr 2019 • The rain has really helped the garden. This #hollyhock is recovering nicely.
29 Mar 2019 • No I haven’t been pruning my hollyhock. I couldn’t find it then when I cleared away some vinca minor and snowdrops this is what greeted me 😡 🐌 🐌😡🐌😡🐌
I couldn’t believe it. Not a single leaf left 😱 @pelly
Oh man! Slugs or sheep?
I see 1 or 2 shoots they missed.
Oh lawd this is not good. This is why I never grow them the slugs always eat them first😞😡
Don't worry, they will produce an abundance of leaves before the summer even begins. Mine always get munched but they're so vigorous it hardly matters 😊
Slugs. Or snails. Or maybe slugs and snails 😉😂 @Mikekally
Haha! I do hope so Susan 🤞@novicegardenlover
Put a little tin of beer beside it
I’ve administered first aid and will just have to hope for the best Carol @carolgs
More for the slugs Urszula 🤷♀️ @ublaszko
10 Jul 2018 • I blinked and there it was 💛 @jeatacake
Wow! I had another new one appear that very same colour too. Will be a photo of it posted 💛👍😊
It’s a very gentle, pale primrose yellow. Needless to say, it was supposed to be black 🙄 but that was years ago and I have forgiven it as it just keeps coming back 😉😊 @jeatacake
It was black at one time? 😲 That is quite a transgression!
😂😂 That would be fun! No, it was meant to be black when I bought it but must have been wrongly labelled @KariSamuel
Whew! But still.... moop. 😔 ♡
Wow! It couldn't be much more different 😯
No! 😂 I did have a black one too...for a while 🙄 @jeatacake
God loves a trier, as they say! Frosts, sleet, heavy rain & winds have not put a stop to it #hollyhock
