Proud NHS midwife and manager. Grew up on a dairy farm, now gardening and allotmenting in Essex. Love kitchen gardens with climbing roses.
Talk about hardy plants, I expect this to keep flowering til December
I have the lime one and it's the same 😄😄
Always so pretty
The incan tobacco plant has a stunning fluorescent flower
The rustica is extremely photogenic, it has a shade of flourescent green that really pops out in camera
A deeper shade of pink has appeared in this nicotiana
The textbook trumpets of nicotiana sylvestris. I might keep the leaves and read up on natural pest control. That said, all the nicotianas have had a munch from the slugs so that may be relative...
I can confirm the tobacco plant has beautiful pink flowers, delighted!
Have grown these from seed this year a must again for next year the smell is delightful 👃🏻😍
Curious to see what kind of flowers the 'Havana 2000' has got. The leaves are huge!
Ooh interexting 👌
It's open! My first ever 'sylvestris' blossom!
Buds in the sylvestris! I have never grown them before so excited is an understatement! Gardening truly is like Christmas every day....
Tobacco has grown a thick stem, despite the weather. Another nightshade, tomato, hasn't been thrilled as much
Nicotianas, tomatoes and sunflowers have spent the night indoors. The heavy temperature fluctuations may have slowed their growth down.
It is warm and humid this morning and I have decided it is Spring.... The nicotianas 'Alata', 'Sylvestris' and tabacum 'Havana' have moved into the greenhouse. I don't smoke but hope to enjoy the tall plants and night scent #gyo
I've bought 2 of these today! Excited to see how they turn out 🌱
They look gorgeous in photos and the foliage alone is amazing, not to mention the scent...
