Poor Gertie has been a bit neglected this year, as it's hard to get to bed at back of boarder and neighbours bond weed is coming under the fence trying to stangle her. So going to dig her up and move her. Shall i do it in Autumn or Spring
James bond weed 😆 I just got this on Google for you.. As roses are sensitive to shock, moving them while dormant (in late winter or early spring) is generally recommended. When transplanting rose bushes in spring, wait until all threat of frost or freezing weather has passed. The soil should also be relatively warm and manageable.
Thanks @wesleybrian. I will wait till winter problem is the rose won't be in shock but i will I'm a fair weather gardener in winter the closesed I get to gardening is pottering in my greenhouse. But Gertie is so beautiful I will make that sacrifice for her. As for the bond weed well it certainly is licenced to kill, it's had a go at stangling my Apple tree too. 😬
Oh @TheGardenWife I've just seen the little pencil icon, honestly I'm awful at posting in social media everyone else seem to be brilliant at it, but i think I need a carer by my side making sure I don't embarrass myself 😳
