It's a good job I have do many houseplants otherwise I'd have serious withdrawal symptoms from not being able to get in the garden #houseplant

Loving your houseplants. I am a terrible indoor gardener 😕

@momasherri I used to be too, until I started googling every plant I bought, once you know their care info and how they grow in the wild it makes looking after them a lot easier. I used to drown mine buy watering when they were in their catch pots, now I plunge the plastic pot and plant in a bowl of water & wait, then put it back in the catch pot, that made so much difference to their survival rate 😄

Thanks I'll try that

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @carolgs @lesliecole49 @gjones I've had this around 4 years now, it's very unfussy and has doubled almost in size, I cut a piece off and put it in water and its now potted up and growing well 😊

Mine had a rough last winter inside. Plants font like my inside unfortunatly. They recovered somewhat over the summer, so, I'm trying them in a different spot inside this year.

@lesliecole49 if a plant isnt doing well the first thing I do is move it up another room, I used to think I was watering wrong but now I find by moving a plant to a room with different light and temperature makes a difference 😊

That's what I've done this year. I never had a problem with houseplants until I moved into this house. It just doesn't have good light at all.

This took at least 2 months to root in water, but got there in the end. Thus is why my house is full of plants because I csnt resist trying to propagate them

Good job! I am the same way always trying to root something. I have never been able to root a hydrangea! I have tried so many times.

@Susanandsteve I have had success with the mop head and lace cap but I recently bought "runaway bride" which is more depressing eight softer stems and couldn't get a cutting to root, so I've scratched a bit off side of stem & then pegged it down into pot of compost with a small tent peg, & it's worked 😄 so maybe give layering a go

Thanks for your advice. I have tried layering and my husband always accidentally cuts them down with the lawnmower or weed whip!!😤 Glad you are successful I will keep trying. Have a good day!
