2016 is the first year I have been able to do any gardening. I live in southwestern Ohio, USA. I love roses, orchids, toad lilies...everything 😁

My amaryllis is doing good..I think. I never had one before so don’t know anything about them. But grown a lot since I got it. Any advice is welcome!

Just found this left over at Walmart. Markdown to $1.25. I couldn’t just leave it there😁

I sure would have picked it up! Our Walmart either sold out or took them off the shelves the day after Christmas because there wasn't a one left!

I picked up one myself looking similar to this only was just a Bulb I brought it home and planted it and it’s doing beautifully but I was wondering what to do with it at this point because I believe it had already bloomed do you have experience with them?

@Flicka My mom has tons of them. Like most bulb plants you let them grow until fall. The leaves are what built up energy in the bulb for the next year. In fall stop watering it so it will go dormant. Cut all the died foliage. Then store it in a cool place for six weeks. After that you can repot it and start the process all over.

I’m glad I asked I probably would’ve treated it differently!
