240719 so glad I planted a mixture of varieties, I doubt anyone who walks into the garden can tell but I love the subtle differences in colour 😍😍😍

Anyone else think my lavender are looking a bit sick? I think this ground is a bit too moisture retaining for them! They loved it in summer in the dry but I have found a few stalks rotted off over the winter :( 💧

Have you had a frost? It’s time to cut back soon, I have done mine but I’m n the south. When you cut them back you will see if new growth appears.

They look fine! Leave them be til new growth. But don’t cut into old wood as that doesn’t produce new growth.

If it’s just a couple of stalks, that’s fine. It will start producing new growth soon as mentioned above so hopefully what you lost is not gonna be anything to worry about.

A few of my mega load of mixed lavender plugs... they're going beserk on my kitchen windowsill after stay pretty dinky through the winter! They've noticed the days getting longer I think :)
