Fritillaries are flowering bulbs, some with grass-like leaves, some with lance-shaped leaves, and nodding bell-shaped flowers, either solitary or in clusters. Fritillaria acmopetala has erect stems bearing scattered narrowly lanceolate leaves and 1 to 2 terminal, nodding bell shaped flowers. Pale green, tinged with purple on the inner tepals.
